David Aaron Thomas

David Aaron Thomas, age 29, of rural Tabor, South Dakota died unexpectedly on Tuesday, October 21, 2008.

Funeral services are 10:30 AM, on Saturday, October 25, 2008 at Calvary Baptist Church at 2407 Broadway in Yankton, South Dakota with the Reverend Jon Cooke officiating. Burial will be in the Garden of Memories Cemetery in Yankton. Visitation is from 3:00 to 8:00 PM, on Friday, at the Wintz & Ray Funeral Home in Yankton with a prayer service and video tribute at 7:00 PM. Visitation resumes one hour prior to the funeral at the church.

Pallbearers are Jason Beaudette, Jeremy Eells, Sam Marcotte, Mike Owens, Rich Schaefer, Greg Thomas, J.J. Thomas and Morris VanGerpen. Honorary pallbearers are his children, Katrina and Skyler Thomas and his niece, Kyla Thomas.

David was born on September 18, 1979 in Yankton, South Dakota to Dallas and Lois (Hysell) Thomas. He attended Yankton High School and then worked for several different companies in Yankton including Lyle's Custom Cleaning, Fox Run Quik Lube and Graham Tire. David had a big heart and a contagious smile which could light up a room. He enjoyed the outdoors, whether it was four-wheeling, jeeping, snowmobiling or fishing. David loved being around his friends and loved his children and his family with all of his heart.

David is survived by his two children: Katrina, and her mother, Ivy Covell of Yankton and Skyler, and his mother, Stephanie Budihas of Yankton; parents, Dallas and Lois Thomas of Tabor; paternal grandmother, Edna Thomas of Kimball, SD; sister-in-law, Teresa Thomas of Box Elder; and a niece Kyla Thomas of Salida, Colorado.

He was preceded in death by his brothers, Chad and Travis Thomas; grandfathers, John Thomas and Harold Hysell; maternal grandmother, Irene (Hysell) French; and an uncle, Darold Thomas.
