Arlan Lammers
Arlan John Lammers, age 34, of South Yankton, Nebraska, died on Sunday, November 30, 2008 as a result of a one vehicle accident on Hwy 121 north of Crofton, NE.
Mass of Christian Burial will be on Wednesday, December 3, 2008 at 10:30 am at the Holy Family (Sts. Peter and Paul) Catholic Church in Bow Valley, NE with Rev Timothy Lange officiating. Burial will be in the Sts. Peter and Paul Cemetery in Bow Valley.. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the church with a vigil service and video tribute at 7:00 pm. Visitation will be one hour prior to services on Wednesday at the church. Wintz Funeral Home in Hartington is in charge of arrangements.
Arlan was born on January 15, 1974 in Yankton to Daryl and Joan (Kleinschmit) Lammers. He grew up northwest of Bow Valley, attended Cedar Catholic High School, and graduated from Hartington High School in 1992. He attended the University of Nebraska in Lincoln for 3 years. Arlan married Ronette Kollars in 1997 in Hartington and they had a child, Reuben. He married Suzanne Moses in 2004 in Lincoln and they had a child, Treva. Arlan was engaged to Robin Hamilton and they had a child, Clayton. Arlan played bass guitar for several bands and worked as a carpenter. He loved to read, study philosophy, write, and hunt. Arlan was very passionate about life, especially about his music, which brought him a great deal of happiness. He could visit with anyone about any number of subjects. Arlan loved to read the bible, he knew and loved God, and took life one day at a time.
Survivors include his parents, Daryl and Joan Lammers of Bow Valley, fiancé, Robyn Hamilton of South Yankton, 3 children, Reuben, Treva, and Clayton, 5 brothers and sisters and their spouses; Sonya and Gary Kathol of Scottsdale, AZ, Daryl T. "Buddy" Lammers of Sioux Falls, SD, April and Bob Nissen, of Yankton, Robin and John Young of Newport News, VA, and Dawn Lammers of Hartington. Arlan was deeply loved and will be missed by his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Alfred and Loretta Lammers, and maternal grandparents, Gerald and Irene Kleinschmit.
