Jerome Mathew Hoesing
Jerome Mathew Hoesing, age 21 of Coleridge, Nebraska, died at his residence on Tuesday, January 6, 2009. He is the son of Elmer and Jane Hoesing of Coleridge.
Mass of Christian Burial will be on Saturday, January 10, 2009 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Coleridge with the Rev. Jeff Loseke officiating. Burial will be at St. Michael's Cemetery in Coleridge.
Visitation will be on Friday from 5-8:00 p.m. with a Vigil Service at 7:00 p.m. at St. Michael's Catholic Church in Coleridge. Visitation will resume on Saturday one hour prior to services at church. Wintz Funeral Home of Coleridge is in charge of arrangements.
Pallbearers will be Craig Frerichs, Lyle Van Cleave, Arthur Hoesing, Kristine Sparks, Shane Rose, Brian Kleinschmit, Bernard Hoesing, and Onya Dendinger.
Jerome Matthew Hoesing was born on July 31, 1987 in Yankton, SD to Elmer Jerome and Jane Mary (Hochstein) Hoesing. Jerome grew up on a farm in the Fordyce area until the age of 5 years and then moved to a farm in the Maskell area. His family lived there in Maskell for four years until moving to Coleridge in 1998. Jerome graduated from Coleridge High School in 2006. He was working on a farm north of Coleridge since he graduated. Jerome's hobbies were tinkering with small engine repair, fishing, collecting miniature tracters, and working on cars. He was a past member of the Coleridge Boy Scouts.
Jerome is survived by his parents, Elmer and Jane Hoesing of Coleridge; 2 sisters, Audrey and Melinda Hoesing of Coleridge; special friend, Kristen Kleinschmidt of Yankton, SD; maternal grandparents, Gerry and Frances Hochstein of Fordyce, NE; paternal grandparents, Fintan and Mary Jane Hoesing of Newcastle, NE; 5 aunts and 5 uncles, maternal great grandmother, Lillian Blaha of Wagner, SD.
Preceded in death by his maternal great grandfather, Ralph Blaha; maternal great grandparents, Rudolph and Mary Hochstein; paternal great grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Pete Hoesing, and Rudolph and Lucina Schulte.
