Floyd Charles Hacecky

Floyd Charles Hacecky, age 83, of Lakeview, Arkansas and formerly of Yankton, died on Friday, December 12, 2008 at his home.

Memorial services are 10:30 AM, Monday, December 22, 2008, at Wintz and Ray Funeral Home in Yankton, South Dakota with the Reverend David Gunderson officiating. Inurnment will be in the Garden of Memories Cemetery in Yankton. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.

Floyd was born November 13, 1925 to Charles and Clara (Schempp) Hacecky. He married Donna Dilley on September 16, 1948 in Yankton. Floyd was a farmer with a passion for airplanes and flying. He was also a builder of homes, airplanes, and farm equipment. He enjoyed fishing and pinochle. He will be remembered for his wonderful sense of humor. Floyd and Donna lived in Yankton until 1985 when they moved to Carmichael, California. They lived the last 16 years in Lakeview, Arkansas. He was a member of the Redeemer Lutheran Church.

Floyd is survived by his wife Donna of Lakeview, AR; son, Kim (Karen) Hacecky of Yankton; daughter, Karla (Tom) Tastad of Sioux Falls; brother, Dale (Mary) Hacecky of Yankton; two sisters, Dorothy Prickett of Scotland and Joyce (Lee) Plank of Bella Vista, AR; five grandchildren; and several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Memorials may be made to the charity of your choice. Arrangements are by Kirby and Family Funeral Home in Bull Shoals, Arkansas and Wintz and Ray Funeral Home in Yankton, South Dakota.
